YEARLINGS+  HORSES FOR SALE

Here are a few of the Heritage Walking Horses and Outcrosses, our group has for sale. For more information, visit the individual farm pages on this site, as well as several sites on our Links page.

Not all the horses pictured are 100% Heritage bloodlines. From time to time some of the Heritage breeders cross their stock with the more popular, sensible, well-gaited show lines to get the best of both worlds. If you have any questions regarding  the horse   you may be interested in, please contact the owner for more information.

Heritage breeders may have other horses for sale that are not listed on this site at the present time. Since our site is undergoing construction and updates, you may want to contact the breeders to see what else might be available for sale.

Sam is a 2009 colt by Society's Dan Allen, out of Chance's Society Paige. His sire, Society's Dan Allen, grandson of   Paige's Black Boy and Red Bud's Rascal, is a proven sire of intelligent, strong walking babies that develop into excellent trail horses. Contact Billy Taylor at (931) 967-9621 for more information or email at confederatehills@wmconnect.com.

Note: when several of us journeyed to Tennessee in October 2009, Sam was a real pest as we were trying to photograph  the  other foals in Billy's pasture. He kept coming up for attention and scratching. Whoever gets this colt will get a nice, friendly  horse!      Photo on the right was taken summer 2010

Heritage Outcross Yearlings & Older For Sale

Before the formation of the Tennessee Walking Horse Heritage Society in 2003, and its subsequent definition of what  marks a Heritage Walking Horse in our Society, all of the Heritage breeders had crossed some of their mares with stallions that were popular in their respective areas of Tennessee, or in some cases, within the larger breed group. Although none of  the stud colts were retained for breeding purposes, a number of the mares proved to be excellent producers of quality pleasure stock, and  are still used within the broodmare bands of the farms where they were  foaled. Since the foals of these mares can never be established as Heritage Walking Horses due to their modern bloodlines,  their offspring are being offered on this page as  Heritage Outcrosses. These foals and mature horses are blessed with the nice walking gaits and gentle dispositions  of their Heritage parent, but their bloodlines are not as unique, as they  are found more readily throughout the Tennessee  Walking Horse breed.

Ostella Bay Rose # 973332

In order to make room for different bloodlines we are offering our mare Rose. This beautiful Heritage Outcross of 15.2 hands has given us 4 offspring already. Rose is currently in foal to Potter for an April 2011 full brother/sister to the 2-year old Jazz.

Since we have mainly used Rose as a broodmare, we offer her for sale as such. However she can also be ridden.  This mare is extremely well gaited and inherits these traits to her offspring. Contact Sandra at Pleasure Gaits Walking Horses, Hechtel, Belgium at info@pleasuregaits.com for more information. See Rose's webpage at:  http://www.pleasuregaits.com/roseENG.htm.

                                                                       Royal’s Queen of Fashion # 20007465

Queen was sired by Pride’s Royal Master. Her dam is a Heritage mare, Rosella Chance. This mare goes back to Merry Legs F-4 ten times and  Grey John at least eight times. This mare has  a lot of good  old Heritage breeding and is a great example  of a  Heritage Outcross. She will be bred to Society’s Dan Allen. Queen has been a good producing mare for naturally gaited foals. Priced at $1500, in foal to Society's Dan Allen, contact Billy Taylor at (931) 967-9621 or email:  confederatehills@wmconnect.com.

Priced at $3000, contact Leon Oliver at (931) 293-4156 for more information.  Look at that face in the picture below! Pleasure's Flamin Sambuca

Born in 2009, Sam is Ravi's firstborn! He arrived early and escaped out of his paddock within hours after his birth. His worried dam, Rose, alarmed me with her nickering. This is how I found Sam getting acquainted with his aunties Secret  and Spirit.

Sam is the spitting image of his sire with a deep red coat and solid legs. His dam gave him a nice deep chest and beautiful neck. Sam is 3/4 Heritage with only one bloodline tracing to Pride of Midnight. Sam has a lovely personality,   is curious but really soft and gentle. After spending almost a year with his older brother, Jazz, he had several weeks to spend with  his cousin, Trip. End of April 2010 Sam will move to the Netherlands to grow up together with the two year old colts, Dean and Nilam and other horses. Sam is available to  the right person. Contact Sandra at Pleasure Gaits Walking Horse Farm in Belgium for more information:  info@pleasuregaits.com

UPDATE:  SAM HAS BEEN SOLD TO JEANNETTE KRIEGSHAMMER of GERMANY!!! Congratulations on the purchase of this nice colt!!
